The action was held at the stele “City of Labor Valor”. Here the citizens laid out the number 80 and the word “Victory” with candles. The fire for the candles was symbolically transferred to the participants of the action from the Eternal Flame by reconstructors from historical clubs clothed in soldiers' uniforms of the Great Patriotic War. The first candle was lit by Lyudmila Bolilaya, a nurse from Stupino, a participant of the WWII Eternal Flame. In total, 947 candles were lit from the flame of the Eternal Flame.

- May 9th is a great day. It is wonderful that our young people hold an action in honor of all those who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the Motherland. You and I should honor and remember the feat of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers, who fought on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, worked on the home front. It is important for us to pass on the memory of them, the historical truth to the next generations, - said Alexander Sukhachev.

The patriotic action ended with a performance by artists of the Stupino Philharmonic Society and students of the Children's School of Arts, as well as a festive fireworks display.
