The morning of May 9 in Stupino began with the Victory Run, which took place in the Ostrovsky Park of Culture and Recreation. The start of the sports-patriotic race was given from the minor stage. About 500 participants - residents of the district - took to the distance of the Victory Run to honor the memory of the Heroes of the Great Patriotic War.
The participants, including experienced runners and amateurs of various ages, covered a distance of 1600 meters. Many carried portraits of their grandfathers and great-grandfathers, heroes of the Great Patriotic War.
Among the runners were representatives of CMK. Fifteen employees of the city-forming enterprise took to the start line to honor the memory of the Fallen and pay tribute to the Heroes of the Great Patriotic War. One of them, Sergey Pukhov, a metallurgist at Shop No. 520, covered the entire distance with the Victory Banner in his hands.
Each finisher received a commemorative medal in honor of the 80th Victory Anniversary. According to the participants, Victory Run became not just a sporting event, but a real celebration of Memory, Unity and Pride for the Country, a bright example of how to honor the feats of the past, uniting people of different ages and professions in a common impulse of patriotism.
