The main ceremony of the Stupino land

The events dedicated to the Victory Day traditionally start with a solemn meeting at the memorial “To Stupino Metallurgists Who Died in Fights for the Motherland”. The reason is that Aircraft Plant No. 150 became the main labor stronghold of the home front, providing the front with the necessary products during the Great Patriotic War.

On this day at the memorial gathered representatives of the district administration, deputy corps, Stupino Metallurgical Company, Stupino Technical School named after A.T. Tumanov and the Moscow Aviation Institute branch.

- The war front took place not only on the battlefields, but also at every plant, workplaces. Here, at Aircraft Plant No. 150, metallurgists committed a labor feat. We must remember that only a strong country can preserve peace. And to this day Stupino metallurgists work for the benefit of the Motherland. It is important to keep the memory of the feat of fellow countrymen in our hearts forever, - said the Chairman of the District Council of Deputies, head of the United Russia fraction Alexander Sukhachev.

The attendees emphasized the significance of Victory Day, which is forever inscribed in world history as a triumph of our people, united against the Nazi invaders, unparalleled heroism at the front and in the rear.

- At the cost of 27 million lives, our people brought liberation not only to our country, but also to the whole world from the most terrible ideology. As long as we remember the heroes and the events of those years, we will live too. Today we remember the feat in the rear of Stupino metallurgists, thanks to whom our aviation smashed the invincible Luftwaffe. Eternal memory to the fallen heroes! - noted the deputy of the Moscow Regional Duma Andrei Golubev.

Roman Modzgvrishvili, CMK Management Company Deputy General Director , spoke about the importance of May 9 and the contribution of Stupino metallurgists.

- We remember all those who laid down their lives for this Victory. We remember those who contributed to the approach of May 1945. 80 years have passed, but every day this memory becomes sharper. We feel this day closer and closer to our hearts. Unfortunately, from year to year there are fewer and fewer people to whom we can personally say thank you for this Victory, but we remember each of those who laid their lives on the altar of Victory, who contributed to the defeat of fascism with their labor. In that difficult time our enterprise worked round the clock year after year without stopping. And it is our sacred duty to pass on this memory to our descendants and for them to pass it on to theirs.

A lyrical note of the commemorative event was a vocal performance by Ivan Kalachev, soloist of the Stupino Philharmonic Society. The participants observed a minute of silence in memory of the fallen heroes, after which they laid flowers at the memorial.

In these pre-holiday days, trees were planted all over the country to commemorate the 27 million people who died in the Great Patriotic War. Joining this action, Roman Modzgvrishvili, AMR-CMK Management Company Deputy General Director, Andrey Zavrazhnov, CMK Managing Director, representatives of the administration, managers and students of the A.T. Tumanov Stupino Technical College and the MAI branch planted three young maple trees near the memorial - symbols of life and connection of generations.
