On April 12, 1961, Yuri Gagarin paved the way to the stars, and 60 years ago, on March 18, 1965, Alexei Leonov made the first human spacewalk in history - another tremendous breakthrough made possible by the reliability of Soviet space technology and the courage of cosmonauts. Behind these feats were the endeavors of thousands of people.

Today cosmonauts continue the work of the Great Pioneers. On April 8, 2025 at 08:47 Moscow time, the “Pobeda Rocket” was launched from Baikonur, it put into orbit a new manned spacecraft “Soyuz MS-27”. The launch is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of our Country's Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The crew includes Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergei Ryzhikov and Alexei Zubritsky and NASA astronaut Jonathan Kim.
