People of Stupino Paid Tribute to the Defenders of the Fatherland

On the eve of February 23, commemorative events dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day were held in Stupino. Representatives of CMK took an active part in them.
Traditionally, the main event of the day was a rally in the square named after Hero of the Soviet Union V.F. Polyakov. Prior to this event, a delegation of the Stupino metallurgists, including Andrei Zavrazhnov, Managing Director of CMK, Alexey Komarov, Director for Finance, Mikhail Kakovin, Deputy Director for Economics, Andrey Tishkin, Head of the Legal Department, and Nikolai Gorelov, Head of the Information Technology Center, laid flowers at the memorial to Stupino residents - participants of the Great Patriotic War on Victory Boulevard.
- We remember our grandfathers and great-grandfathers who defended the Motherland at the cost of their lives. We are proud of our veterans, their labor and military feats, thanks to which Stupino was awarded the honorary title “City of Labor Valor”. On the example of our heroes we teach the younger generation to love and be proud of our history and country, - said during the meeting the head of the Stupino Urban District, Secretary of the local branch of the party “United Russia” Sergey Muzhalskikh.
Alexander Kogan, State Duma deputy, Alexander Sukhachev, chairman of the district Council of Deputies, and Archpriest Evgeny Ryapolov, dean of churches in the Stupino district, joined in the congratulations.
The rally was attended by veterans, representatives of the administration, deputy corps, public chamber, law enforcement agencies, military units, the Stupino branch of the Association of Veterans of the Army, participants of the special operation and their relatives, heads of enterprises and organizations, volunteers, Young Guard, students of military-patriotic associations and the citizens of Stupino.
The participants honored the memory of the fallen defenders with a minute of silence and gun salvos. Representatives of CMK laid flowers at the “Grieving Mother” Stele, the monument to the Warrior-internationalist and the Stele dedicated to the Heroes of the Soviet Union on Victory Boulevard.
