- Thanks to the off-site master classes, we managed to attract rural schools to robotics classes and to raise worthy competitors. The children applied in all nominations,” said Elena Minaeva, director of the organization.

The organizers of RobotoFest put an emphasis on fijital concepts, with part of the competition taking place in real and virtual spaces.

- Participants scored goals to virtual and real goalkeepers, played laser tag, shot in the laser shooting range, performed tasks in virtual space, wearing VR-glasses, - said the organizer.

In addition to the Fijital Zone, participants had the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in the Programming Zone, Robot Zone and Exhibition Zone. Schoolchildren presented inventions, participated in a robot battle, and demonstrated their programming skills.

Mikhail Kakovin, Deputy Director for Economics, Chairman of the Youth and Sports Council of CMK, shared his impressions of the event:

- The exhibition of children's developments was incredibly interesting. We got acquainted with VR-technologies, enjoyed virtual soccer, when you can score a goal without having a ball, a goal, or a goalkeeper.

There was an interesting shooting gallery where you could shoot, hitting the target without any live hare being harmed. We were impressed by the construction works, which were dedicated to the approaching anniversary of the Great Victory. A very interesting exhibit was a train called “Oreshnik”. We were shown how from the train a missile goes into a combat position and prepares to destroy a target. This demonstrated that the younger generation has an excellent grasp of theory and practice and is ready for any challenges of the time.

During the awarding ceremony thirty children received prizes from the Managing Director of CMK Andrei Zavrazhnov.

- We chose gifts for the winners and runners-up in close cooperation with the management of the Ostrovok Center. As a result, we chose constructors with the possibility of programming for new ideas and interesting projects,” explained Mikhail Kakovin.

The organizers of the festival noted the high level of preparation of the participants, thanked the partners and expressed hope that next year “RobotoFest” will gather even more talented engineers and programmers.

- Recently, the Education Department of the Stupino City District Administration has been working closely with CMK, and this is very encouraging, because a lot of initiatives are being implemented with the active participation of the Company's management. We are talking not only about educational activities, but also about educational processes, sports events and much more. We all remember that CMK is a town-forming enterprise, so it is only reasonable that Stupino metallurgists take care of the younger generation, because today's children are your future staff, - summarized in the final of the festival the head of the department of additional education and upbringing of the municipality's education department Vera Kalinina.
