Exhibitors presented a wide range of equipment and metal products, which demonstrates the high level of competitiveness of the participants and their readiness to adapt to changing market conditions. Discussion of trends and strategies, as well as the launch of joint projects emphasize the importance of cooperation between companies to achieve common goals and improve efficiency. The professional composition of visitors and active interaction at the exhibition confirm that Metal-Expo has become not only a platform for presenting new products, but also an important forum for discussing the future of the steel industry.

New Opportunities

Mikhail Yurin, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, chaired a meeting of the Coordination Council for Industrial Policy in the Metallurgical Complex, during which the heads of all leading metallurgical companies discussed the issues of providing enterprises with domestic equipment and materials, developing the resource base and improving logistics. The participants noted that in 2025 the sources of increased demand for steel products should be primarily infrastructure projects and machine building. New types of steel products and special steel grades will need to be developed for the needs of industry. Mikhail Yurin emphasized the need to provide the industry with commodities, equipment and personnel, as well as the importance of government support in promoting steel products on export markets and stimulating domestic consumption.

Bringing Together Industry Partners

Over 50 events of the autumn Metal Week allowed market participants to meet face-to-face and discuss current trends. The four days of Metal-Expo'2024 were marked by high business activity and intensive negotiations. Thousands of business meetings were held at the exhibition site and promising contracts were signed. CMK's managers and specialists held more than 50 negotiations with current and potential partners - representatives of strategic industries and equipment suppliers.

Stimulating Creativity and Innovation

In order to identify and support talented young people among specialized educational institutions of higher professional education, research institutes and production enterprises; encourage their creative activity, promote the results of scientific works to the market of knowledge-intensive products, the Organizing Committee of the Metal-Expo exhibition established the Young Scientists Awards. Our young specialists - Nikita Lazarenko with the scientific work “Influence of magnesium content on plastics properties and internal defects of ingot from ХН62ВМЮТ-ВД alloy” and Vyacheslav Azarov with the work “Mastering the technology of production of forgings of ‘axis-turned’ type from titanium alloy BT22 in a new die tool” became the winners of the competition.

Metal-Expo VIP Tournament

32 players took part in the traditional annual VIP-tournament on Russian billiards among CEOs and top managers of the companies. All participants demonstrated a high level of play and, between scoring balls, found time to communicate about business in a friendly informal atmosphere. In a tense struggle the silver medalists of the tournament were the team of Alexander Romanov (Metal Supply and Sales, RSPM) and Roman Modzgvrishvili. First place went to the team of D. Ganin (KZMK TEMPO) / A. Mantrov (EVRAZ Steel Building), third place went to the TMK team (S. Nazarov, V. Voskhodov).

High Standard

As part of the 30th anniversary Metal-Expo'2024 exhibition, the results of the 23rd Best Corporate Media in the Metallurgical Industry in Russia and CIS-2024 contest organized by 'Metallosnabzheniye i Sbyt' magazine were summed up. Dozens of publications, including newspapers, magazines, TV programs and digital channels, representing leading metallurgical groups in Russia and CIS countries, as well as metal trading companies and enterprises from related industries, took part in this creative competition. The corporate newspaper of CMK “RE:MARKA” was awarded the title of the Best Nonferrous Metallurgy Publication, which confirms the high standards and quality of the editorial staff's work.

In addition, the exposition of CMK was noted by the exhibition organizers for originality and design. As a result, Stupino Metallurgical Company received two more significant recognitions: a jubilee cup “For the best exposition” and a diploma “For highly professional promotion of products”. These awards became a symbol of the Company's success and professionalism in the metallurgical industry.

Most of the exhibitors expressed high satisfaction with the intensive work of the forum, noted its effectiveness for business development and have already booked space for their expositions next year.
