CMK Launches Educational Intensives in Stupino.

In today's environment, when technologies and market requirements are constantly changing, the importance of training highly professional staff is no longer questioned. And if it used to be enough to have a basic education to be successfully realized in the chosen profession, today it no longer guarantees a stable and promising career. With this in mind, CMK being a key enterprise of the Stupino Urban District, initiated a new educational program “Science to Regions” within Phystech-schools development foundation for high school students.

The start of the educational intensives was given at school No. 9 in Stupino. 60 best high school students of the urban district who have successfully passed the tests and want to develop their knowledge in these areas gathered here - these are three study groups in mathematics, physics and chemistry. Classes will be held on Saturdays in offline and online formats.

The First Step

The organizers and participants of the process were greeted by the head of the municipality, the secretary of the local branch of the party “United Russia” Sergey Muzhalskikh.

- Our city is quite young - this year it celebrated its 86th anniversary. And all these years it remains industrial. There are many large enterprises operating on the territory of the district, but CMK remains the most important of them. It is our town-forming enterprise, there is not a single native resident of the city, whose family would not be connected with the plant. And now the Company's management has come up with an initiative of pilot education for high school students. The future of our enterprises depends on you, school graduates! Educational intensives are the first step in supporting talented students. I believe that you will make the right choice in your profession. I wish you to pass exams with high scores, get higher education and come back to work for the benefit of the Stupino land. I thank the management of Stupino Metallurgical Company and the Phystech-schools development foundation for their support and cooperation,” said the head of the district.

Andrei Zavrazhnov, CMK Managing Director, joined the words of the head of the district. The educational intensives are aimed at improving the level of students' knowledge in precision, technical and natural sciences by developing motivation among gifted schoolchildren to enter leading Russian universities. This will improve the Olympiad movement in Stupino, develop physics and mathematics classes, engineering and innovation education and early career guidance.

During the event Sergey Muzhalskikh and Andrey Zavrazhnov signed an agreement of intent to continue joint cooperation. The document provides for the development of educational activities on management and engineering competencies creation. It is not only about creating training courses, but also career guidance excursions for schoolchildren to CMK, student internships, realization of opportunities for teachers to improve their qualifications and assistance to schools in creating material base for training students in engineering specialties.

Of course, the event was not without questions that inquisitive students could ask their supervisors. The children were interested in the variety of their future professions, which will open up to them the knowledge they have gained and their admission to a specialized university, target directions for training, support measures of CMK for young specialists and others. The high school students received comprehensive answers to all their questions from the first hand.
