Senior-aged metallurgists visited CMK
Andrey Zavrazhnov, CMK Managing Director, met with the Company's veterans at Stupino Metallurgical Company. It was preceded by a tour of the workshops, after which the guests were able to personally ask questions to the head of CMK. The event was organized on the initiative of Anatoly Kretov, Chairman of the Veterans Council of the Stupino Urban District, which was readily supported by the Company's management.
Recognition and familiarization
The guests were able to understand how the company lives today, what has changed and what new things have been achieved by visiting the Testing Center, the foundry and melting shop for large-sized ingots and the shop for the production of non-ferrous metal powders. 17 veterans were attending the event, though some of them could not participate in the tour due to health reasons. Former CMK employees were able to observe how the enterprise is developing and modernizing.
CMK veterans: German Tatarnikov and Vyacheslav Golubchikov
The oldest participant of the tour was 98-year-old German Tatarnikov, who had worked at Stupino Metallurgical Plant for 41 years. The honored metallurgist, who once held the position of head of the technical department here, appreciated the new equipment in the Company's shops.
- When I worked at CMK, we were in charge of all the equipment supplied to the enterprise - from the technical specification to its installation, plus mechanization and automation of production. That's why I was very impressed by what I saw today - the working staff is minimized, the processes are automated as much as possible. I understand that this has a positive impact on labor productivity. As a specialist I appreciate it very much. I am pleased with the changes that have taken place, which confirm that CMK is keeping up with the times,” he said.
Contact points
The meeting with CMK Managing Director took place in a warm atmosphere over a round table and a cup of tea. It was also attended by Dmitry Mikhailov, Production Director, and Georgy Lukonin, Deputy Director for Technical Development.
Andrey Aleksandrovich told what the Company is up to today, about its achievements at the Russian and world levels, about innovations, large-scale renovations, which are being carried out at the enterprise today, as well as about social policy.
- I would like to thank you for the great contribution that each of you has made to the development of Stupino Metallurgical Company. And for the fact that you continue to take an active part in social life, which means preserving the best traditions of Stupino metallurgists,” said the Managing Director.
The talk continued in the mode of productive dialog. The veterans asked questions about the current activities of the enterprise, shared their opinions on certain management decisions, and noted with satisfaction the fact that what they saw this day showed that serious ambitious tasks are realized at CMK, young specialists who want and can work come here.
At the end of the meeting, the participants summarized that the Company and veterans are reliable partners. Cooperation and mutual support will continue to develop.
Vyacheslav Golubchikov, veteran of CMK:
- I have worked at the enterprise for 18 years. After graduating from the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys, I came to CMK as a foreman of cold rolling mills. Then I was deputy head of shop No. 42, later - head of production at the plant. And later I was invited to the Ministry of Aviation Industry of the USSR. And although I worked in the Ministry for many years, CMK for me has always been my native enterprise, where my labor path began. That is probably why I had a special attitude towards it - I always kept a close eye on its performance and rejoiced at the successes of the Stupino metallurgists' team.
