The flag of CMK was again raised on the City Walk of Fame on the eve of the Metallurgist's Day.

On the eve of Metallurgist's Day, the flag of Stupino Metallurgical Company was raised on the Walk of Fame in Stupino. Andrey Zavrazhnov, CMK Managing Director, Alexey Komarov, Director for Finance, and Mikhail Kakovin, Deputy Director for Economics, took part in the ceremony.

The delegation also laid flowers at the stele “City of Labor Valor”, opened on the Walk of Fame in 2022. The memorial is dedicated to the labor feat of the Stupino residents who ensured uninterrupted production of military and civilian products during the Great Patriotic War.

The stele depicts wartime scenes taken from archive photos - children and teenagers standing at the machines in the shops of Plant No. 150 (now CMK) instead of the men who had gone to the front; evacuation and re-evacuation of the plant; construction of the defense line along the Oka River by the residents of the city of Stupino; aluminium ingot produced for the first time in the country by semi-continuous casting method; the process of awarding the Red Flag of the State Defense Committee; awarding the Order of Lenin to the staff of Plant No. 150 for heroic work during the Great Patriotic War.

Every Stupino resident knows that the history of CMK is inextricably linked to our city and district history. Most families in Stupino have those who in different years worked faithfully and honestly at the city-forming enterprise. And today the staff of CMK honorably continues the traditions of its predecessors, contributing to the socio-economic development of the district and the defense capability of the entire country.

And paying tribute to the founders of the city, the citizens of Stupino cherish a new tradition, which turned five years old this year. Starting from 2020 and annually as a sign of respect for the services of Stupino metallurgists on the eve of Metallurgist's Day, the flag of CMK is hoisted on the highest flagpole of the city and flies over Stupino for a week.
