Last Saturday, CMK employees visited the spartakiade of the Moscow regional organization of the Mining and Metallurgical Trade Union of Russia. Forty people, including team members, substitutes and fans, went to the recreation camp located on an island in the middle of Lukovoye Lake near Noginsk.
Athletes from CMK, Institute of Structural Macrokinetics and Problems of Materials Science of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as the team of the host party - metallurgical plant "Elektrostal" competed for the prizes and cups of the competition.
"Our opponents were quite tough, but it's for the best, when you compete with strong opponents, you grow. The will to win was strong, you can see it from the photos: sparks were flying, the sand under our feet turned into a whirlwind. I hope that next year we will be stronger and achieve better results," said Ekaterina Ulyanova, a participant of the competition.
The Spartakiade opened with the anthem of the Moscow Regional Organization of the Mining and Metallurgical Trade Union of Russia. Elena Vyshivanyuk, Chair of the Mining and Metallurgical Trade Union of Russia, welcomed the participants.
CMK athletes participated in all six sports - soccer, volleyball, table tennis, darts, chess and checkers. The participants noted: the heated competition lasted for four hours.
"After a five-year break, the Moscow Regional Organization of the Mining and Metallurgical Trade Union of Russia resumed the tradition of holding the Spartakiade at Lukovoye Lake. For our enterprise it was the first Spartakiade within the framework of the Trade Union, and we can proudly say that awards were received in each of the above-mentioned disciplines. Next year we have a great desire to become a host, but we do not plan to break the tradition of holding such a sporting event," said Maria Dubrovskaya, a sports fan.
Our team consisted of 30 people: CMK employees, students of the Tumanov Stupino Technical College and veterans of the enterprise. Among them was Viktor Bukin, Chairman of CMK Trade Union Organization, who spoke at the tennis tournament. Viktor also reminded that CMK athletes have been taking part in regional spartakiads for more than ten years.
"The team of veterans of the plant defended the honor in the following disciplines: checkers, chess and table tennis. Particularly passionate struggle was unleashed between volleyball and soccer teams. And this - despite the difficult conditions of the competition - wind and unfamiliar equipment. Our team of young athletes played volleyball very well! CMK metallurgists showed a great will to win in order to defend the honor of the plant. The spirit was the same as at the Russian championship, our metallurgists did not spare themselves on the field", - Viktor Bukin shared his impressions.
A group of CMK fans supported the athletes with flags and motivational posters. As a result, CMK team of metallurgists won first place in checkers, second place in soccer, volleyball and table tennis, and bronze in the chess and darts tournaments.
"After the competition we shared our impressions with enthusiasm, it was very pleasant to visit the event again after a break, to communicate with the team, to cheer up the athletes, to take photos together, to experience exciting moments, to be sincerely happy for our winners. We want more!", - Ekaterina Ulyanova added.
"Thank you all so much for such an awesome event! Everything was at the highest level! I can definitely say that it was my best event of the spring! The organizers did the impossible - in a week they gathered cool people in the size of an entire organization. Perfectly distributed the time and tasks of everyone, we took prizes, no one was lost, had time to do things and relax. Just the highest pilotage. You are the best," said CMK volleyball player Maria Troynikova.
The representatives of CMK invited the participants of the Spartakiade next year to hold a meeting in Stupino. They noted that they would love to host and create conditions for a comfortable sports meeting of the regional teams.
