Stupino – the Town of Labor Valor

Yesterday, a festive event was held on the territory of CMK at the monument to G.V. Vizirian, the founder of the plant, in honor of awarding Stupino the honorary title of the Town of Labor Valor.

The ceremonial event was attended by S.G. Muzhalskikh, the head of Stupino municipality, P.I.Chelpan, Chairman of the Council of Deputies of Stupino municipality, Honored veterans of CMK, A.I. Kretov, Chairman of the Stupino Veterans Organization, representatives of CMK employees and many others.

The event was opened by S.G. Muzhalskikh, the head of Stupino municipality, congratulating all those present on such a significant historical event for our town as awarding Stupino the title of the Town of Labor Valor, and expressing deep gratitude to the veterans of CMK, who worked at the plant during the difficult years of the Great Patriotic War under the motto: "All for the front, all for victory!"

"Both in peacetime and in wartime, CMK worked with full dedication, setting new and new labor records. The Order of V.I. Lenin on the factory banner is a high appreciation of the work of the entire team," said S.A. Kononov, Deputy General Director – Technical Development Director.

Almost 68 thousand signatures were collected to assign Stupino the status of a Town of Labor Valor. This means that almost every resident of the town took part in the vote.

P.I.Chelpan, N.A. Khanin, A.I. Kretov, V.A.Bukin also made congratulatory speeches, recalling the historical events of the city and CMK. After all, CMK is a symbol of Stupino for over 80 years. The inseparable history of Stupino and CMK are pages of achievements and victories, accomplishments and the exploration of new industrial horizons, bold steps forward and confident development! Almost the entire event was held to the sounds of hammer blows, symbolizing the inextricable connection of times and generations.

The solemn event ended with the laying of flowers at the monument of G.V. Viziryan, the first director of CMK.
