CMK’s Friends Race

On 3 September 2022 the Metallurg stadium hosted a traditional sports event “THE CMK’S FRIENDS RACE”. This event was arranged on the initiative of Stupino Metallurgical Company, and was dedicated to the celebration of the Stupino City Day and the first anniversary of the city, which was awarded with the title of honor “The City of Labor Valor”.

The teams of industrial enterprises and organizations, secondary and higher educational institutions of the urban district of Stupino were invited to participate in the Race. 12 teams applied for the competition. The total number of participants and fans totaled more than 200 people.

Special guests of the event were: Deputy of the Moscow Regional Duma A. A. Golubev, Chairman of the Council of Deputies of Stupino P. I. Chelpan, director of the Palace of Culture Yu. V. Shalygin. General Director – Director for Technical Development of CMK S.A. Kononov officially opened the event and wished success, unity and good mood to all the participants.

The program included sports competitions resembling school sports day: summer skis, “boat”, “banana”, squirrel wheel, pants, “boots that don’t fit”. All competitions were aimed to “synchronize” the participants and develop a unified team spirit. Great mood, interesting tasks and strong support from the fans inspired the participants, so the sports passion did not fade away even after the dark.

”On, guys, on, the victory awaits you!” – the fans supported their teams.

The participants of the RACE, of course, needed the support of their friends and colleagues, but they also strived to the finish line, trying to show the best results and be in the top three.

According to the results of the competition, the following teams became the winners: “We don’t leave our own behind” (Metallurg Stadium) – 1st place, “Skittles” (Committee for Culture) – 2nd place and “Arthur’s eight” (Palace of Culture) – 3rd place.

All participants of the THE CMK’S FRIENDS RACE were awarded with diplomas, medals and tasty gifts!

The sports festival was closed with a bright firework, which was a nice surprise for all guests.
