At the opening event the Deputy General Director of ODK Alexander Inozemtsev noted that the creation of PD-14 is a breakthrough in Russian engine building:

– For the first time in long while, a new, absolutely Russian engine has appeared. This project involves dozens of enterprises in related industries, metallurgical and engine-building plants, electronics manufacturers, the Russian Academy of Sciences, research institutes, and universities. The creation of PD-14 inspired the emergence of a generation of specialists at these enterprises who received not just interesting jobs, but the experience in creating cutting edge competitive products.

Stupino Metallurgical Company became the organizer and curator of a round table dedicated to the appearance of new materials, promising technologies in metallurgy, and technical upgrade of metallurgical enterprises based on innovative technologies. The specialists from top enterprises of the metallurgical, aviation, and aerospace industries were the attendees of the event too. The moderator was the General Director – Director for Technical Development of CMK Sergey Alexandrovich Kononov.

A wide range of topics of the scientific meeting were devoted to the creation of new generation materials, promising engineering processes and equipment for their production. The chief metallurgist of CMK Maxim Olegovich Smirnov presented the report “The concept of design of engineering processes of the deformation of heat-resistant nickel and titanium alloys with the use of modern methods of research and analysis”.
