Being a mother is a great happiness, it is the ability to feel and understand, to feel that very sincere love of a little human being, not for a reason but just as it is, because you are the closest and dearest person to him! Being a mother is a work which does not need criticism and evaluation. A child’s future life depends on the way a child is raised, on the values he is taught to adopt in a family.
The Mother’s Day was first celebrated in the Russian Empire in 1915. This day fell on December 1, but was not fixed in the national calendar. It was not until the 1990s that the idea of creating the Mother’s Day emerged again. The initiative to establish this holiday belongs to the State Duma Committee on Women, Family and Youth Affairs, particularly to A.V. Aparina, a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. Also, in 1998, the President of the Russian Federation B. N. Yeltsin signed a decree on the establishment of a holiday, which was aimed to support the traditions of respect for women, secure family standards, and emphasize the importance of a great role of the mother in the life of every person.
So, traditionally, on the eve of the Mother’s Day, the management of Stupino Metallurgical Company, together with the Chairmen of the youth council, the women’s council, and the trade union organization congratulated the СMК employees. Over a cup of tea in a warm, casual atmosphere, they discussed the issues how to improve social protection of women employed in the company, organize summer holidays for children, sporting and mass participation events with the participation of children of CMK employees, and many other things.
An inspector foreman of work section No. 560 Tatyana Evgenievna Gracheva mothered three children, she is raising 10-year-old Evgeny, 6-year-old Vladimir and 3-year-old Mikhail. Each of us in early childhood and adolescence thought about their own family, imagining what it would be like. In her thoughts about the future Tatyana always dreamed of a daughter. Her husband Alexander Sergeevich also always imagined himself having family and children. The Grachev’s first child was a boy; sometime later the couple began to think about a second child, hoping they would have a girl. After the birth of the second boy, the parents decided that for the third time the two brothers would definitely have a little sister. But the life has its own plans. So, the Grachevs had a third a boy. The couple decided that the three growing defenders are the very happiness that they dreamed of, when they were young. “The elder one is fond of swimming, learns English, does wood burning and engineering design. The middle one now attends a kindergarten, preschool classes, and tries to reach after his elder brother in everything. He likes to listen to fairy tales and model objects from modeling clay. The younger one is still observing and takes up useful experience so as not to be in arrears of his beloved brothers in anything”, shares Tatyana Gracheva. The family has modest family traditions. In the summer, they spend time together at a country house, where the three sons try to help their parents in everything. In winter, they warm up with hot tea with charlotte, cooked by the caring hands of Tatyana Evgenievna.
Work section No. 560 employs women who successfully combine motherhood and work, whose professional achievements have been distinguished at the municipal level. An economist of work section Anna Alekseevna Filkina is a happy wife and mother. She is raising two children – 13-year-old Evgeny and 5-year-old Maxim. “Choosing a name is always a responsible and important moment for spouses, says Anna Filkina. A decision to name the eldest son Evgeny came thanks to the church calendar, so that the day of memory of a tutelary saint coincided with his birthday. The eldest son chose a name for the youngest one. Each of us wrote the name that he likes, and Zhenya pulled out a piece of paper with the name Maxim”. Both boys are active, athletic and curious. Zhenya owns a green belt in Taekwondo, and Maxim plays football. At the same time, they are good friends. The elder likes to read, the younger always listens to him attentively. The family likes to travel and celebrate family holidays. According to Anna, the main thing in the family is support, so both parents and children help each other. For the same reason, the Filkins did not stop at one child, so that the brothers would support each other, help and not get bored. It is always much more fun together.
