Women in Metallurgy

The main event in March is the International Women's Day — the time when men show special attention, care and warmth to their beautiful halves.
Multi-ton ingots, flame-sparkling furnaces, heavy hammers and presses, various machine tools, stamping tools, polished parts shimmering with a metallic sheen — this is how metallurgical production appears in its diversity. This area is considered to be the destiny of men — powerful, strong-willed, able to subjugate metal and possessing unique competencies. What is the place of women's labor in such a harsh industry? How do the fair sex realize themselves in metallurgy?
The answer is obvious — successfully and very effectively! It is proved by the numerous awards at the federal, industry, regional levels, which are presented annually to women metallurgists. 639 women working at the CMK have the title of "Veteran of Labor" of the Russian Federation and CMK and have been awarded state awards at the federal, regional and municipal levels. And it is worth noting that among the awardees there are representatives of not only typical “female” professions, such as an accountant, lawyer, economist, assistant secretary, laboratory assistant, controller or storekeeper.
CMK is proud of the fair sex, who have successfully mastered and achieved significant results in such professions as a cutter using saws, hacksaws and machine tools, a machinist employed in hot areas, a crane operator, a defectoscopist, and a machine operator. Most of these professions involve physical labor, so it is encouraging to see that the women working in these positions are modern, beautiful and active. They are passionate not only about their work: they go in for sports, travel, grow flowers, pamper their loved ones with culinary masterpieces.
Undoubtedly, the family is an important aspect for a woman. The women metallurgists successfully realize themselves in the profession, at the same time being the guardians of the family hearth. These spheres do not interfere with each other, but, on the contrary, are inextricably linked. Some of them found their soul mates at CMK, created strong metallurgical families. In any business, a woman shows her inherent qualities: wisdom, patience, diligence, diligence, the desire to do her job aesthetically, efficiently, with love.
According to psychologists, women, unlike men, are more inclined to sympathy, social partnership, successfully unite the team and motivate employees to perform complex tasks.
For some professions, the ability of women to work in tandem, supplementing the work of colleagues with their own efforts, is especially important. The ability to concentrate on trifles, cope with routine work with ease and grace, thoroughly approach the solution of production issues are the undoubted advantages of a feminine approach. An important component of a person's psychological health is harmony: with oneself, the outside world, colleagues and loved ones. Harmony is no less important in the enterprise: when masculine determination, determination, exactingness, and focus on results are combined with women's attentiveness, tenderness, the ability to resolve issues without conflict, endurance, communication, and emotionality. This creates not only a favorable atmosphere, but also allows to successfully achieve any goals and develop effectively.
