Honored the memory of the heroes

The Victory Day for representatives of the CMK team began traditionally. Without departing from a long-term tradition, they arrived at the Alley of Heroes and laid flowers at the memorials erected in memory of the Stupino inhabitants who fought during the Great Patriotic War.

Then the delegation of the Stupino metallurgists arrived at the park named after V.F. Polyakov to a solemn meeting dedicated to the 78th anniversary of the Great Victory. Hundreds of citizens gathered here to lay flowers at the park's memorials.

Pupils of patriotic associations, representatives of the administration, deputy corps, labor collectives of enterprises, the Public Chamber, and law enforcement agencies came to honor the memory of the heroes of the war. Honorable places at the meeting were occupied by veterans of the Great Patriotic War, home front workers, prisoners of fascism and children of the war.

Sergey Gennadievich Muzhalskikh, Head of the Municipality addressed the participants of the event:

“I congratulate everyone on the most important holiday of our country — Victory Day! When the Great Patriotic War began, half of the inhabitants of the city of Stupino went to fight at the front, the rest remained to work in the rear. They worked day and night under the slogan "Everything for the front, everything for the Victory!" President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin appreciated the labor feat of the Stupino citizens and in 2021 awarded the city the high title of "City of Labor Valor". This is the merit of the Stupino inhabitants.

Sergei Muzhalskikh expressed deep gratitude to the veterans and wished them good health and longevity.

Words of gratitude to the veterans were also expressed by the Chairman of the District Council of Deputies Alexander Nikolaevich Sukhachev, and the Dean of the Stupino Church District archpriest Evgeny Efimovich Ryapolov.

The memory of the Heroes was honored with a minute of silence and a triple volley from rifles, after which the participants laid flowers at the park's memorials. According to the tradition, the delegation of Stupino metallurgists laid flowers at the "Grieving Mother" monument sign.
