Metrological anniversary

On the eve of the World Metrology Day, the team of the CMK Metrological Service — Shop No. 260, celebrated its 50th anniversary. On April 26, 1973, according to order No. 207, on the basis of the I&C Shop No. 26, the CMK Metrological Service was formed with the task to provide the consistency and accuracy of measurements, reliability of control of product parameters in order to achieve a given level of product quality and production efficiency.
The biography of the workshop is rich in interesting events, labor dynasties and legendary people. The team has always had an innovative spirit and aspired to high standards. Experienced and knowledgeable specialists worked as part of the Metrological Service in different periods of its existence. The first Head of the Shop was P.I. Barulin, his successors I.M. Lipsky, Yu.N. Frolov, A.N. Lysov, E.A. Lokhov, with all responsibility, continued the intensive development of the Metrological Service of the enterprise. Their names will forever remain inscribed in the CMK history. From 2004 to 2017 the division was headed by Vladimir Grigoryevich Fatov, an experienced metallurgist who devoted many years to the development of measurement systems for laboratory and weighing equipment, adjustment of control devices and certification of testing machines. From 2017 to 2021 Evgeny Romualdovich Skakovsky was the Head of the Shop, who also has extensive metrological experience in launching new equipment, managing the maintenance of instruments and automated systems.
The traditions laid down by veterans are adequately continued by today's workshop team headed by Mikhail Valentinovich Tshchedushnov, Acting Chief Metrologist — Head of the I&C Shop No. 260. Great precision, extreme concentration and excellent knowledge of the principles of metrology distinguish the employees of this division, in which the continuity of generations and the innovative spirit are the main features of the entire team. A great contribution to the achievements of the Metrological Service of the company were made by E.A. Korneev, A.D. Trofimov, L.N. Zakharova, N.A. Chuvina, G.V. Silaeva, V.V. Luchina, T.A. Kondyakova, O.I. Fedotov, L.G. Panina, L.I. Chernyakova, M.V. Krasnov. Experienced masters of metrology, such as V.S. Varava, L.V. Ermilova, O.A. Lukashova, E.B. Basov, pass on knowledge and experience to the younger generation.
The work of the Metrological Service is extremely important for the successful functioning of the entire enterprise, as well as the development and improvement of the quality management system. The specialists of Shop No. 260 in their daily work solve a whole range of tasks for the approval and calibration of standard samples, measuring instruments, controls and indicators in accordance with international standards for certification of measurement standards and metrological examinations.
Continuous improvement of the CMK production with the equipment of modern instrumentation requires the employees of Shop No. 260 to continuously study and master new technologies and measurement methods. And the specialists of the service successfully cope with this task, regularly confirming their qualifications in specialized centers.
It is important to note that in recent years significant progress has been made in the modernization of measuring equipment, the introduction of digital technologies and the improvement of the quality of the company's metrological support. Knowledge and experience, desire for self-improvement, continuous search for new modern solutions in the field of metrology allow the team of Shop No. 260 to successfully cope with the tasks set, ensuring high accuracy of each measurement and achieving high quality of each unit of production.
